Overview

CampInteractive is a year-round program that culminates in a summer adventure. The program is a gateway to a creative and successful future. It consists of wilderness adventures, creative technology training, mentoring opportunities, and community outreach.

>>Into the Wild: At the start of the summer program, campers trade the city streets for an outdoor adventure. In each year of the program, this outdoor experience becomes more challenging. CampInteractive participants head to the Adirondack and Catskill Mountains for a hiking, canoeing, and rock-climbing trip. Our campers have also embarked on a sailing trip up the Hudson River.

>>Home on the Web: In the second phase, students return home to begin a two-week computer and web-development training program. Using a state-of-the-art technology facility, students learn skills critical to entering the 21st Century workforce.

>>Partnership for the Future: As the summer ends, and campers become students again, the connection to CampInteractive continues through yearly events, trips, mentoring programs and internship opportunities.
