Today when I came back to CampInteractive, it felt like I never left.
As if I was still hear from last year. We played all kinds of games I'm glad because I have my best friend with me (HAHA=:] ) but he's
being mean he might not stay with me hear... (Tear...=[ ) He might just be hear for one day. (My best friends name is Junior. ) I think
I'm going to have a lot of fun this year. :) I feel bad for one of my friends hear though, he is terribly sick; bad allergies. (DAM...!)
OMGosh, I had so much trouble logging into my mac.; it was so annoying. Finally Jesus fixed it for me... Hehe :)
Today a serious part of my life ended today... but oh well life goes on...:)
Today is the start of my last summer before high school... I need to do my best this time. I know myself,
I think things are easy and I slack off. In grade school I got away with holding off with my homework, sleeping in class,
pulling all nighters, ect... But not this year; I need to be more focused, I want to try better. Because even though when
I didn't really try and I did great, that only brings to mind, 'what if I really did try? Couldn't I be doing outstanding?'
one of the big reasons I want to do well is because like many families, mine isn't rich. So I'm aiming for a scholarship. So
I just want to try hard from now on with what I need to do, and keep going on from there...
CampInteractive over all is just an experience that you cant just imagine, you have to be hear to understand. It's an
experience I would never change, and I hope to continue coming. Being hear is a mixture of so many topics, aspects of
life that you go through in such a short period of time, but it's worth it.
Makayla's Biography
My name is Makayla Ashley Rodriguez. I go to Art & Design High School. I am 5' feet tall
and 15 years old. Above all, my best friend's name is Junior. Now you know what I consider
the basics about me. Here's something more interesting, and life changing, about me:
I have one half-sister and one step-sister, but I have never seen them face-to-face.
I have seen a picture-or-two of them, but that's never as good as the real thing.
To me a picture can say a thousand words, and in person it may only say a few words,
but those words are the best ones. My half-sister and step-sister, live in the Dominican
Republic with my father. I have not lived with my father since I was three years old;
to most it would seem unfair, and honestly it once bothered me, to a very serious extent -
but I've dealt with it in my own way. I remember every day I lived with him - well as far
as I can remember. It was like he was not really there anyway. Now that I am older it
does not really matter to me the same way it did when I was younger. I have already become accustomed
to not having a father, so no matter how hard he trys to fix my world that he ruined
when I was little - it is too late! I have filled these empty spaces with things of interest
to me, and the things that just plain out give me joy.
From grade school to seventh grade I wanted to be a teacher.
Although, when eighth grade began, and I progressed in my learning, I realized,
just as most have, that there is no guarantee to any thing in real life! So just as others,
I have changed my mind. I have mainly decided to do what I know best, and
to try new and ambitious things. I am just indecisive
about my future. But the truth is I wish I had a clue to what I could be, or what I am meant to
do in life; if I have a true purpose - like those who
believe in fate or destiny. That little impulse you have that tells you you're suppose
to be doing this in life. That makes you feel meant for the job.
Ahhhhhh! Sports! I love being active. I've tried every sport I have ever heard of, and have
nailed it down to the main ones that I enjoy the most. For a dry, land sport, my number
one would be soccer - and I love it! I play for all sorts of reasons. I play when I feel
mad and need to let off steam. But I mainly play just for the fun of it. I've gotten to
play on the beach, which was a challenge. The sand is rough and hard to run on but
to me it was completely worth it. I will never forget that day. But my favorite above all
sports is snowboarding... the thrill, the rush you get. I love the speed and acceleration
you build up going as fast as you possibly can. Above all, it helps block out any
problems - it's just you and a mountainside. When I snowboard, it feels
great. I block out everything, even any fears I might have, and just do my best. If I fall I take it as a positive, I learn from it, I grow from it, and then try it
again.
When I snowboard I don't hold back, I let loose, I go a little wild. It's when I'm more
myself then any other time. When it comes to food I love SEAFOOD to no end. My ultimate
FAVORITE kind of seafood is fried calamari. It is just about one of the best tasting things
to me. I just think it is delicious and when made right, can be one of the most amazing
flavors in the world and satisfy anyone's hunger. Since I know how to cook, I really
like making my own recipes. I completely change the normal recipe and made it something new;
something that's my own; something I created. The best thing about creating your own recipe
is when people love it - it is an amazing feeling, because you made it yourself.
