The Weather

We are the lemon heads!! Have you ever heard the saying "when life hands you lemons make lemonade"? Well that's what we had to do when mother nature handed us bout a million lemons. When we started to set up camp, it started to rain. Not only was it raining but it was also drak. Yet we still managed to set up camp anyway. When we woke it was still raining so we packed up everything up and left for vermont. At our first night in Vermont our campsite was flooded because of heavy downpour. We piled back into the van and headed to a different one. When we started to set up camp that night it was still raining and we ended up sleeping in wet sleeping bags. During the night the rain stopped but started up again as we started to make breakfast. So we had to eating under a tarp. Fourunately, we had packed before we made breakfast so our gear was mostly dry. As the day went on it continued to rain. When we were hiking to our campsite at night, it rained so much that we thought about giving up. We kept stepping in mud puddles and some of the campers would trip and fall while other were just tried. We managed to have some fun by singing songs and making up our own songs. When we were eating it started to rain really hard. We had to eat wet crackers with wet cheese. The next day we saw a waterfall and a random guy there told us that the water hasn't been this high in seven years. When we were getting close to our campsite we couldn't cross because the waterfall was so amazing. Also since we were soaking wet we didn't care about the rain anymore. After a long ride we arrived at the campsite. Along the way it started raining again. It was getting so late . So we cooked dinner on the side of the highway. Even though the rain made it hard to cook, we played games and had fun.
The last day of the trip we went back to New Jersey and ate dinner in the cabin at CatRock. When we were ready to go back to the campsite it started raining again. We wouldn't be the lemon heads if it didn't. Instead of heading to camp we played the flying squirrel. Although it rained almost everyday we didn't let that stop us from having fun and enjoying the trip.
