Hi! In case we haven't met, I'm Katy. I'm 22 years young and I just graduated from the University of Michigan where I majored in Political Science. Born and raised in Manhattan, NYC, I'm a proud fan of the Mets, NYC pizza, Central Park and CampInteractive. I love spending time with my older brother Josh because he's funny, smart and incredibly nice. Although we used to fight sometimes when we were kids, we're now really good friends. Also, my best friends from high school and college are very important to me so I'm always in touch with them. Their advice is invaluable to me, and they keep me laughing! My personality is energetic (at least once I've had my morning coffee—please don't talk to me before that!) and friendly.
I enjoy speaking Spanish which I learned living in Argentina last year, and this semester I learned how to do some pottery which is very satisfying. My favorite piece I made is a ceramic sculpture of my high-top Chuck Taylor because it's incredibly lifelike. People sometimes confuse it for an actual sneaker, which is cool. I have two cats named Sophie and Skittles who like to cuddle up and watch TV with me – right now they're very interested in the Olympics, just like I am. In a few months I'll start working for a business consulting firm called McKinsey which will be a big challenge because consultants work long hours and are often traveling away from family and friends. I'm excited to learn a lot about business but also nervous to make this big life change. If you see me around please wish me luck, I'll need it!
Looking back on my summer, our trip to Vermont and New Hampshire was absolutely the best part. The people on the trip made it incredible since we were always laughing and keeping each other positive. For example, I loved it when we played "Ride the Pony" and everyone got crazy—some got especially nuts! The Lemon Heads always pushed me to complete challenges like hiking at night and canoeing for many hours. I truly couldn't have done this stuff without your help. I hope that you felt my support too and that you appreciated how freaking beautiful it is in the mountains! Lemons: always feel free to email or call me since I'd love to hear from you.
