Day One The arrival of New Jersey 1 in, well New Jersey! We arrive at the campsite and we begin to unpack and just chill down for the day. Then we find out that we are going canoeing. We keep our stuff at the campsite and then we make our way to the water. But no, it wasn’t just normal river water at first. It was mucky, dirty water. Tar, seaweed and just plain nasty water. None of us were expecting that at first I’m sure. Partners were made for two people to a canoe. We then get in the canoes and make our way to the first destination. As canoes came in before others we waited and just talked. Then that was when we came up with the idea to play “Canoe Tag.” That game was simple. All you had to do was either tag the boat with your paddle or ram your own boat with another boat to tag another team. As the night came we learned how to work a stove. Even though it wasn’t a normal stove like at home, we had fun watching the flames and the way Amy and Jes knew so much about the outdoors. Later, maybe 30 minutes to a 60 minutes later, dinner was finished and we did the infamous “Chow Circle.” The chow circle is where we all stand in a circle and your right hand goes over your left hand and you hold the persons hand that is standing next to you. Then a pulse goes around the circle, which is a squeeze of the hand and then you pass it on to the next person. Then once the pulse gets back to the person who started the pulse you spin around and say “Chow down.” Then you eat! After we ate, we basically just sat around, chilled, played some cards and just hanged. After we got tired we went to.

DAY TWO The 2nd day must’ve been the worst of the 5 days I had. I was in the worst condition of anybody. I’m surprised I didn’t vomit. I don’t know if it was something I ate the previous day but I was just bad. And I also felt seasick when we went canoeing. Also to add to the sickness, IT WAS RAINING HARDER THAN EVER! After we stopped on the way to our destination we went under a tree to wait until the rain at least slowed down a little. Then that was when “The Izzles” was born. We decided to talk about our group name. And we came up with The Izzles. We came up with that because before we came up with The Izzles, I called everybody with an “Izzles” in their name. So we decided to stick with the Izzles and go right back to our canoes and keep going no matter what happened. Then when we reached our destination, we got out the boats, packed up, chilled and got ready for dinner. Despite the fact I was sick in my stomach I worked anyway. But after that, I just went to my tent and took like a 60-120 minute nap. And happily, when I woke up I was feeling better than ever before. Dinnertime came, we ate, and stood up, chilled for a minute then once we got tired we went to sleep.

DAY THREE The 3rd day, was one of the more adventurous days. Once again we canoed to another destination. We canoed to a place where the van would come and pick us up to take us… ROCK CLIMBING! Now I was thinking that it would be like regular rock climbing, but not with actual rocks. It was harder than I thought it was. I was determined to make it to the top. But unfortunately I didn’t. But I gave it a good effort. That day, we also had the best lunch so far. Something that included “MEAT!” Pepperoni. We had wraps the consisted of Tortillas, cheese, lettuce and so much more. That day I think everybody started to work more together as a team. Then after we finished Rock Climbing, we went back into the van and went to the best campsite we had. Almost like a place for Family Reunions and stuff. Then that day we had the best evening so far also. We had Hot dogs and Macaroni and Cheese. After, for dessert we had Ice Cream! Thank You God! Then to add to the best night, we got the option of a shower, believe us, we took that offer. About an hour later we finished our showers and we went back to the campsite because we was tired before the fact they even asked us about the shower. So once we got there we immediately fell asleep.

DAY FOUR The 4th day, we returned to the original campsite we first came to. But before we did that, we went to the Appalachian Trails. In the Appalachian Trails we had a good time. We had to do Nature Art projects where we had to make projects off of objects in the nature. Then we had to take pictures of them. I have to say that everybody did a good job; I’d normally say mines is the best because it’s mine but everyone did good honestly. Then we came to the lake where we had the most fun of all. The WATER FIGHT! The way we had the water fight was we threw rocks and when they splashed the water would land on the person they threw it at. After we had the water fight we returned to the original campsite. From then we chilled out for the rest of the day. Then at night we played a question game known as “21 Questions.” That night we looked at people in a different way but in a good way. We got tired and went to sleep.

DAY FIVE We finally get ready for our final hours together. We wake up in the morning with relief that were going to get home before the end of the day and also we wake up in the morning with sadness that we’re getting ready to leave the place that gave us so many memories to talk about. So we pack early in the morning so we don’t have to worry about doing it later. Even if we didn’t, later on in the afternoon we worked like there was no tomorrow. But we got through it and we went home around 3:30-4:00 and got home around 5:30-6:00. When we returned to the Bronx, we we’re greeted with hugs and high fives by Craig, Jesus, and staff. Then we received ice pops to cool us down. After all of the excitement of The Izzles return we took a group photo and called it a day, I mean we were all tired, so we went home and a week later we are back in Camp Interactive entertaining YOU!
