Hello, my name is Adam Rander and I’m 14 years old I was born in the United States of America. I like running track, basketball, and I also skateboard. When I’m in high school I plan on running track because most people in my family ran track. I’m going to Cardinal Hayes high school and most likely I will graduate as a senior when my senior year comes around. I also have a job at the age of 14; I think a job can be cool at times. My favorite food would probably be…anything I guess although I prefer sushi. Food is a nourishment and just gives you energy.
Like I said before I like skateboarding and also playing basketball. I just started skateboarding not very long ago and I would say I’m pretty good. I can only Ollie and I’m currently trying to learn a shuvvit. A shuvvit is basically spinning around 180 degrees and landing on it. When I play basketball I mostly use my eyes to get the right distance to the hoop and from where I am to make the ball go in. Now that I think about it Basketball and skateboarding correspond because you have to use your eyes for both. When I came to camp interactive I thought this was going to be an extremely boring camp! Well I was wrong. I went camping with the people in my group, “The Izzles”, I thought I was just going in the woods to get eaten a life by mosquitoes. Well I did get a lot of bites but not many because I was smart enough to wear jeans and a sweater =). Although I was hot because I was next to a camp fire I was still in a good mood. When I went in the tents I didn’t think I would have much fun because there was always 2 or 3 guys in 1 tent. Luckily on the last night I slept alone in a tent. It was kind of cool actually and felt great.
The things I did on the trip were canoeing, rock climbing, and eating s’mores! The instructors were cool people and cooked for us. The only problem was after we eat we had to put water in the bowl and clean it with a spoon then drink the water. SO imagine having pasta, which we did, and putting water then drinking it. It’s called swish and swill, but I never did it once on the 5 days because it looked nasty. So if u ever have to do it just “accidently” pour the water out on the dirt.“Accidently” though.
