Treasure Hunt

Through the lush fields of grass there was treasure waiting to be discovered by AYE. Carleen picked the treasure hunt as the last activity, because she felt the treasure hunt will bring our spirits up. There were four teams in this activity lined eagerly together as if they were running track and field in the Olympics at the starting point. Four facilitators gave each of the four teams different directions to the AYE treasure. The map looked like a real treasure map like the ones you see in the Indiana Jones adventure movies. All of the teams briefly took a look at the map and then the starting whistle is sounded off. Everyone thought they were in first place since the treasure map directions were too easy to follow. When all the teams circled on the suspecting treasure spot there was no treasure and they all looked like confused apes. It turned out that our facilitators made big mistakes on the directions and measurements. The mistakes were so big it compared to a barber when he makes a mistake on your head and shaves a chunk off by accident. The facilitators who were observing us in turn had to help us complete our activity because it required measurements using rulers and etc. Finally team two finish first, team four finished second, team one finished third, and team three finished last. We spent two hours looking for plastic golden coins.
