About Us

CampInteractive is a small, fun learning community that engages teenagers with "stepping back into nature and forward into technology." CI is a program that helps kids interact with others, and get familar with the wilderness. This program gives teenagers opportunities for future references and takes them out of their comfort zones. It adjusts their life styles on short trips (between 5-30 days) and shows them that there is more out there than just a simple city life. These trips teach techniques of survival. CampInteractive is a unique non-profit organization that teaches responsibility, self discipline, and new-found physical and academic skills. Each expedition is documented by digital photography, video, and journaling.

On July 18, 2007, ten students from the Bronx and Harlem set out for life in the wilderness for 10 days in Vermont. This marked the beginning of new friendships and new experiences. These were days well spent, making and achieving goals, overcoming fears and challenges, and experiencing new adventures. They left with no clue and came back with epiphanies, memories, goals and expectations. On their adventure they canoed, hiked, rock climbed, camped out for several nights and did a high ropes course.
