+FUNNY STORIES AND LAUGHS

“Ahh! Spider!!”

-The first night sleeping outside, Raisa, Abigail, Chanel, and Lauren were in the tent relaxing after a long day of canoeing. A HUGE daddy long leg spider was in their tent. They were screaming their lungs out and jumping from corner to corner in the tent. From the outside of the tent you could see them moving it. They finally had some guts to get rid of the spider. Everybody was laughing at them. They didn’t think it was funny. Nobody even asked them what was wrong while they were screaming! Lauren said, “That’s not nice!!” Everybody was just standing around laughing at them for being chickens!

“Party Like A Rock-Worm”

-On the fourth day, before we went on our four mile hike we were sitting in a parking lot. There was a lot of worms just moving around the dirt where we were sitting. We were all picking them up with sticks and playing with them. When we moved them, they would start going crazy jumping around! We were putting them on a little rock, and they were shaking. We started singing “Party Like a Rock Star” and then since it was a WORM next to a ROCK, we started singing “Party Like a Rock Worm”! [haahaahaa]

“The Picnic Game”

-Every night, we would all lay down in our tents. Lauren, Raisa, Abigail, and Chanel were the “Goose Tent.” Christian, Daniel, and Eric were the “Iceman Tent.” Dalisbeth, Melina, Olivia, and Charnay were the “Maverick Tent.” The tents were so close to each other that we could hear everything the other tent was saying. We would play games with each other like the picnic game. We wouldn’t follow the normal rules of the game. Instead of saying things like “I’m going on a picnic and I’m bringing apples, bananas, carrots, doughnuts, etc.”, we would say things like “I’m going on a picnic and I’m bringing A-nuts, B-corns, camels, donkeys, etc.” That’s what happens when you put 11 hyper kids to lay down in their tents in the wilderness! Victoria and Tzvi, the counselors, couldn’t take our noise so every night they set up their tent away from us!

-Now that we all sit back and think about everything we did. this is what we have to say: I learned to appreciate what I have in life more than ever. I never realized how much I take the luxuries of my life for granted. Camping was some experience. An experience I’m not planning to repeat any time soon. I’m grateful for the time I spent out there and the friendships formed. -Lauren
It was awesome but hard.- Melina
It was fun, yet buggy. -Christian
The trip was good, but it had many bad sides to it, especially drinking your own dish water. - Eric
I had fun getting to know everybody- Chanel
    It was fun- Daniel
It was an interesting experience. Something I thought I would never be able to have. But now that I think of it,
I probably would do it again in the future.- Raisa
It was alright. Mosquitoes are still not my friends!- Dalisbeth
I can call this camping trip a life-changing experience because it opened my eyes and made me realize how spoiled thankful for everyone and everything.-Abigail
