The first day of our camping trip to New Jersey was fun but also very wet. Once we got to the cabin we headed back out to go canoeing in the rain. It was hard but also very fun. On the second day we paddled four miles to the place where we were going to camp. Once we reached our camp site we set up our tents, which was very fun and easy. Then we cooked dinner which was rice which turned out to be very icky. Daniel and I hung bear bags. It looked poor but the bears never came to eat the food and we were very thankful. On the third day, we canoed to the van so we could go rock climbing. Once we got there almost everyone climbed the rock. It was awesome to climb to the top of the rock and see the view. The view was beautiful and a wonderful experience for me and everyone. After we went rock climbing we set up camp in the dark and it started raining on us. Then it stopped and we had mashed potatoes and after we had smores sitting around a camp fire. We then drove to the entrance were we started our hiking adventure to the camping grounds. It was very tiring and very energizing. On the fifth day, we hiked to the van and on the way down the trail we got lost. Once we reached the van we all screamed with joy because we were finally going home and that is the New Jersey 2 camping trip experience.

Hi, my name is Melina and I’m 14yrs old. In my spare time I like to sing and write songs. I am a friendly, energetic, and lively person. My favorite color is lavender because the color looks sweet on the outside but is mysterious on the inside and that is how I am. I have four brothers and one sister. I live in a three bedroom apartment with my family four dogs, two cats, and one fish. I am a middle school graduate and am now a freshman at St. Raymond’s high school for girls. I am really excited to start high school but also a little scared. I hate when people talk about me behind my back and not tell me they have a problem with me in front of my face. I also hate when people don’t feel comfortable with the way they look or who they are on the inside and their outside. I like to see people smile and help other people. I love my family and I am always there for them.
I found out about C.I. from my mom and I am really glad that she suggested that I should come to camp interactive and go on the trip to New Jersey 2. I had really fun on this trip. We went canoeing, rock climbing, and hiking; we even camped in the rain. Besides the fact that we had to hike eight miles, the food was nasty, and we had to sleep outside near bears and poison ivy, it was really enjoyable for me. I hated hiking the most because it was really hard and I almost passed out hiking to our camp site. I really liked canoeing and rock climbing because they were both really cool to do and also I can say to my friends that I accomplished something they didn’t. I had a nice time on the trip and hope to go on another trip like that again.
