Hello, my name is Eric Brandon Fuentes. I'm 13 years old and I live in Inwood, Manhattan. I love to play basketball and I love to skateboard. I play piano by ear and I make my own music. By the way, I'm also in a band. My favorite color is brown as you can see. I’m from the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico even though I was born in Manhattan, I moved to Brooklyn while my dad still lived in Manhattan. I have two weird siblings: my big ugly sister named Isamar and my big crazy brother named George. We’ve fought many times before and we still manage to not kill each other.
I go to school at I.S.52 and its o.k. We get our own laptops to use at school but the bad thing is we can’t take them home, YET.
I love to listen to Rock, Hip-hop, Tech-no, and Spanish music. The artists I listen to most are My Chemical Romance, Boys Like Girls, Linkin Park, The Used, Rihanna, Eminem, Fort Minor, 3ML (look them up on myspace their o.k.), Benny Banassi, and Da Rude.
The trip I went on was New Jersey #2 and I both liked it and disliked it. The part I liked was the canoeing, talking on the canoe and rock climbing. I learned many things including how to hang a bear bag and how good the city life is compared to the wilderness. We saw many cool things including a chipmunk, a bull frog and a big snake eating a frog.
One thing I did not like about the trip was that we were supposed to pour water in our bowl, scrape the leftovers off and drink it but I didn’t because I would have gotten sick especially since i have a weak stomach. Another thing that I did not enjoy was that we didn’t have any free time. The part I disliked the most was the hiking. I was going to rock climb but I went half way up the cliff and when I looked down I was too scared to continue so I went back down. There were a lot of things I liked and disliked but the parts I remember the most are canoeing and talking with Lauren and Raisa about our BF (insider).
I got into CampInteractive because of my brother. He held a clean up crew on Payson Avenue and CampInteractive was there. So I went to my backyard and they were playing basketball on my hoop and I asked if I could play so I played. Then when they were about to leave, Craig (the coordinator) asked me if I wanted to go on a trip and I said “sure.” I thought it was going to be great and even though I met really cool people and I got to experience new things, it wasn’t so great because the hiking part was too long for everyone including the instructors.
