Daniel's Bio

My name is Daniel Kogel, and I'm 16 years old. I live in the Bronx, NY. I live with my mom, dad and my brother, 19, and sister, 21. I go to St. Raymond's High School for Boys. My hobbies are riding my bike and playing video games, watching TV, going on the computer, and playing Chess. I learned how to play chess in the 5th grade, and I also taught myself. I like to play chess with my friends and I also like to play on the PC. My favorite part of chess is the thinking part because you have to try and find out the person's next move. I don't really play much anymore.

Things that make me happy are "The Simpsons," my friends, family,and riding my bike. Things that make me angry are when they don't show The Simpsons. In the future I would like to be an architect. I would like to design schools and buildings. I think it's cool knowing that you were part of something that everyone will use and see. My favorite actor is John Travolta. I don't really listen to music so I don't have a favorite singer or song.

I found out about CI from SYEP. The things I appreciate about the program are the technology involved and the trip I went on. I went on New Jersey #2 and it was fun. I liked the whole trip but what I really enjoyed the most was the canoeing, camping, and rock climbing. The only hard thing was the hiking because I wasn't feeling well. I liked the rock climbing because I went up faster than I thought I could.
