The Biography of Abigail Cadle
Hi, my name is Abigail Katherena Cadle. I'm 16 years old and I currently reside in the Wakefield area of the Bronx. I live with my parents and two little brothers and I'm of Belizian and Jamaican descent. I graduated from Holy Rosary Elementary School and I'm currently in the 11th grade at Cardinal Spellman High School. My birthday is June 1st which makes me a Gemini but many say that I don't have the personality traits of a Gemini. In school I enjoy learning math.
I enjoy dancing, singing, reading, writing, drawing, shopping, playing sports. My favorite book is
The Coldest Winter Ever by Sista Souljah. I play sports such as basketball, volleyball, and softball but my all time favorite would be basketball. I have a very big family and I enjoy vacationing with them. This summer I attended two family reunions which gave me the chance to spend quality time with my family. I enjoyed eating out, going to amusement parks, and swimming in the pool with them. I also enjoy spending time with my friends. We go to the movies, malls, amusements parks, and parties. I'm interested in law and psychology and I would like to successfully pursue both of them in my future. I personally think music expresses a lot of things. Music is something important to me because it expresses how I feel and it helps me as a person.
I learned about CampInteractive through the Summer Youth Employment Program in June of this year and ever since, I've been working here. I can honestly say that being here for a little over a month I have grown to learn more about computers. Every day I learned something new, from creating a website from scratch to editing a video. Not only did I get to learn more about computers but I experienced camping for the first time. I went on the New Jersey 2 trip for five days which was from July 23-27 2007. Camping was something that I always wanted to do but I never got the chance until now so I took advantage of it. I knew camping in the wilderness would be a challenge but it wasn't as bad as it seemed. There were rules that you had to abide by in order to survive and at times there were things that you had to do to help your peers out. During my trip we went canoeing for seven miles, rock climbing, and hiking for twelve miles. My favorite activity was rock climbing and the scene at the top the mountain was one of the memorable scenes during the course of the trip. Camping is one of those experiences in life that I will never forget but I would never want to do it again. I would like to go rock climbing again both indoors and outdoors. I guess I can call this camping trip a life changing experience because its opened my eyes and made me realize how spoiled I am--not only by my family but by my society too. Now I see life in a bigger and better picture than ever before. This summer was full of many adventures with my friends and family and I'm thankful for every one of them. Live every day as if it were your last and never take for granted what you have.
