Funny Story:
We were getting the canoes down to the lake side, and we were all talking to each other when all of a sudden Dain screams to Chris (one of the instructors), “He Should get his ass up and do something.” We started laughing not really thinking it was much of a big deal but then Chris starts to get really red and screams back: “LANGUAGE!”. We all started cracking up, and for the rest of the week Dain tried to get Chris to scream it again. As well, when someone would let a curse word slip everyone would scream: “LANGUAGE.” At the end of the trip he finally screamed it and Dain started laughing like he was crazy. No Offense Dain.

Painful Story:

As I walked slowly over branches and leaves I was in found myself in front of the “LOG OF DOOM”. Olivia drasticly screamed to me, “Step over the BIG LOG!” but did I listen? No…I kept walking and tripped over to my fate. I lay there with my right leg bleeding and my left knee swollen. I stood up valiantly. Even though my soul was burning with pain, I didn’t shed a tear. I stepped to the side as a Chris came to assist me. He cleaned up the blood on my leg and put a bandage that I knew wouldn’t help the shearing pain that was pouring from the cut. I sucked up the tears and pain and continued on the quest to the end of the trail, which I found out was only a few steps away. Why did this happen to me you ask? I do not know why, but I know it made me stronger for the rest of the trip. I survived of course and help my fellow voyagers to finish the activity for the day.

Mosquitoes:
Ah the Mosquitoes. That was a war that keeps me thinking until late night as the stars spread out on to the black sky. I tried everything I could but they wouldn’t leave me alone. Even as I was sleeping, they would harass me with no let up. What was I supposed to do, bite back?! As I sat there in serenity I felt small creatures penetrated my exquisite skin. I raised my hand as they continued to bite, chew, NAW at my skin and let it slam down on the nasty creature. I raised my hand again to see a glutinous red, purple, and blue substance on my hand. I had won the battle, but not the war. I lost, and now I pay the expensive price. *tears*
