Camp Interactive Presents

CAMP INTERACTIVE is a non-profit organization combined with Outward Bound to educate teenagers about the environment and computers. This program is a four week course broken into two sessions. The first session is held by Outward Bound in the wilderness, located in the Adirondack mountains.  In the wilderness the students do activities such as backpacking, canoeing, rock climbing and community service. During these two weeks the students have no contact with the outside world.

The second session is held by Camp Interactive inside Lehman College. The students learn how to build web sites, web pages, presentations and reflect on their experiences. Students are in class from 10 to 4.

The intention of these courses are to help educate teenagers about the environment and computers. But the biggest intention is to open their eyes to see how the real world really is. This course provides them the opportunity to get to know themselves and realize who they really are!  While on the course the students are grouped with other teenagers that they have never met before and they learn how to work together.
