Hi, My name is Dwight  and I am one of the first students in Bronx to complete an Outward Bound Course. This Course has taught me a lot of things about life and nature. This course pushed me to do my best and to never give up without a fight.  I think I have helped myself and others to accomplish their goals to finish this course. My new experiences and new friends helped me to learn new things about my self that I never knew.
I think that this expedition experience is great because you get more experience Out doors with nature and you learn to appreciate your environment and house privileges more because you didn’t have those things in the outdoors. This course teaches you cooperation and organization.
This expedition also teaches you to be on time and it pushes you to your limits.  The most challenging thing on this trip was not letting myself down because I am not used to giving up and not accomplishing my goals.  I always try my best and accomplish what I need to accomplish.

The rock climbing taught me that if I just push myself a little harder I can make it. At one point when I was rock climbing I pushed and pushed and  eventually I made it to the top.

When it got hard  I just pushed through and  made it to the top-twice.  I think it was great spending time working with others because I make friends very quickly and because I had a chance to learn more about the people I was working with. I think that working with other people is fun because you get to cooperate and express your ideas with each other. I learned that teamwork is best when everyone is working together because things get done faster.
The major conflict was when a member of our group named Juan  had to leave. Everyone was mad.  He was my friend and he helped me out.  Juan had a great heart. We had to solve this problem because if we didn’t we wouldn’t have made it through the rest of the trip.
Being away from home was difficult because I missed my family, friends, and girlfriend. This was difficult because I had never been on an expedition before and because I had never been in such a different environment for two weeks without being able to call home.  Regardless of this,  I succeeded in achieving my goals and in personal growth.
